At right, High School Psychologist Michelle Aleva is surrounded by Eliane Keyes and Flora Covey, with Chapter F of the New York Association of School Psychologists.
October 5, 2015 —
At the October meeting of the Glens Falls City School District Board of Education, Michelle Aleva was honored for winning the Regional Psychologist of the Year Award from the New York Association of School Psychologists (NYASP).
Then ... surprise! The NYASP representatives announced that she has also won the STATE Psychologist of the Year Award and will go on to represent New York at the National Convention!
“It is incredibly motivating, yet humbling, to be acknowledged for such honors, this and the GFTA Teacher of the Year award,” said Mrs. Aleva. “It is most rewarding to be helping and observing students meet their innate potential, and being present as a supportive listener and problem-solver when life gets hard.”
Congratulations, and thank you for all you do for our students, Michelle!
