December 1, 2016 — Glens Falls High School soprano Lucy Reid has earned a repeat performance in the prestigious New York State School Music Association All-State Chorus.
The senior vocalist will sing at the beautiful Eastman Theatre on December 3rd before hundreds of music educators, music students, family, and friends. Last year, Lucy was also a member of the Women’s Chorus.
Only nine hundred students out of thousands from high schools across New York State were selected to perform in the eight All-State ensembles.
"Lucy never stops reaching for higher challenges and goals,” says music teacher Abigail Sery. “She leads by example in everything she pursues."
Lucy was chosen for this honor by receiving a perfect score on her level 6 All-State solo and sight-reading auditions last May. She sang a German aria in the juried competition.
