The Board of Education appointed Mrs. Moore to the position at its meeting Monday night. She currently serves as Principal of Geyser Road Elementary School in Saratoga Springs, with previous experience as an assistant principal at both Dorothy Nolan Elementary and Queensbury Middle School.

“Kristy’s experience and community connections make her a perfect fit for our Middle School,” says Superintendent Paul Jenkins. “Her knowledge of student development and her understanding of how to build supportive relationships with students will greatly benefit the children and families of Glens Falls.”

“As a Glens Falls native, I am excited to have the opportunity to lead our middle school,” says Mrs. Moore. “I am passionate about working collaboratively with the school and community to ensure all students have the resources they need to succeed.”

Mrs. Moore is already part of “GF Nation” as a Glens Falls High School graduate, district resident, and parent of three children who are, or will be, Glens Falls students. She has nearly 16 years of public education experience, with deep background in data review cycles focused on student growth. Her Masters degree is from Rutgers University, and she holds a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from SUNY Plattsburgh. She holds state certifications in school building leadership, elementary education, and therapeutic crisis intervention.

“I look forward to working with the outstanding staff, students and families in the Glens Falls Middle School to continue to build opportunities for students to excel,” says Mrs. Moore.
