Sophomore Tess Harrington won the Memorial Day essay contest for Glens Falls High School and was asked to read her essay during the Memorial Day ceremony at Crandall Park. Her essay, titled "For Those Who Fell," asked us to recognize the sacrifices that veterans have made for us and urged us to support the many veteran's organizations and programs, such as the American Legion, the VFW, and the Wounded Warrior project.
