When the Schenectady Daily Gazette published its annual Student Gazette in June, it included articles by two writers from GFHS! Junior Tess Harrington and freshman Robin Gorton were honored for their winning entries in the Daily Gazette’s annual newspaper competition for students in the region. The Gazette received hundreds of entries from schools across the region.
Originally published in the Glens Falls High School newspaper, the Indian Insider, Robin’s article on student stress won an honorable mention and Tess’ article on Dr. Bishnu Maya Pariyar, founder of the organization Empower Dalit Women of Nepal, won second place.
Tess is the editor of the Indian Insider and has written one or more articles for each of the paper’s issues for the last two years, and Robin has written an article for each issue this year. Congratulations!
