Back to School Information

Hello, GF Nation families:

The back-to-school family packets are in the mail! Here’s the key information in those packets, and reminders ahead of the first day of school on THURSDAY, SEPT. 5TH!

graphic of highlighters, scissors, calculator and colored pencils with text: All school supplies are provided by the district!
Don’t buy any school supplies – we already have what your child needs!

All school supplies are provided – no need to buy anything but a backpack and water bottle, if you like!

Breakfast and lunch are FREE for ALL students in every building, every day! No paperwork required.

The HOPE Boutique will be open Thursday, 8/29 in the afternoon for families to “shop” for clothes and shoes. Watch for the RSVP link in ParentSquare.

Please give our hardworking letter carriers a few days to get your packet into your mailbox. In the meantime, you can read all the enclosed documents right here:

Q: Why do we still send household packets when all these documents are available electronically above?

A: State education law still requires districts to provide some policies and notifications in written/paper format. We mail these items to comply, and also to give our families multiple ways to receive information from us. We streamline this mailing every year to reduce postage costs, make the information more understandable, avoid duplicates where we can, and put it all in one place for families with multiple students.
