Dear Families:
Please note: in yesterday’s update, it was stated that the 72 GFSD individuals currently under active quarantine was the highest daily total of this school year. The information should have read that 72 was the highest daily total of the school year, since the district updated lunch protocols to keep six feet of distance between students. In September, the initial 3-6 foot protocol resulted in large groups of students being quarantined from one positive case, and there were daily quarantine totals as high as 91 individuals during that time. We apologize for any confusion, and thank you for reading the daily updates carefully.

Today’s summary COVID update for Glens Falls City School District uses the best information that has been reported to us, either by a local health department or by parents/guardians/employees. Remember that if any confirmed case requires a mandatory quarantine of other students or adults, we have already contacted parents and staff members separately by phone. The health, safety, and well-being of our school community remains our main focus. We will continue to work closely with WCHS on how to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
