Dear Families:
Positive COVID cases at every school building were reported over the Thanksgiving break. Warren County has set multiple daily records for new cases and total number of active cases over the past two weeks. Presume you will be exposed to COVID-19 when going into a crowded public setting or at a workplace where you interact closely with others, and please take precautions accordingly.
- 57 GFSD students/staff are now under active quarantine
- Seven new positive cases – 1 (HS), 3 (MS), 1 (BC), 1 (JH), 1 (KRS) – were reported from Wednesday (11/24) to today involving GFSD students or staff
- 803 Warren County residents are under mandatory quarantine/isolation because of exposure to COVID as of 11/29.
- Warren Co. Health Services is monitoring 542 active COVID cases as of 11/29.

Gov. Hochul announced today that the COVID vaccination site at Aviation Mall is re-opening, as of this week. This site will be administering child vaccines as well (ages 5-11). As of Monday evening, appointments were available starting this Thursday. Here is the link to register for a Pfizer first dose, booster, or child vaccine: https://am-i-eligible.

Today’s summary COVID update for Glens Falls City School District uses the best information that has been reported to us, either by a local health department or by parents/guardians/employees. Remember that if any confirmed case requires a mandatory quarantine of other students or adults, we have already contacted parents and staff members separately by phone. The health, safety, and well-being of our school community remains our main focus. We will continue to work closely with WCHS on how to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
