The Board of Education recently approved the 2023-2024 school calendar, and the upcoming school year includes four new Professional Development Days for staff. On those days, students will arrive to school on a two-hour delay, while the staff continues to implement programs and data from their traditional Superintendent Conference Days.
“We are always looking for consistency in our school district,” said Superintendent Dr. Krislynn Dengler. “We believe the best way to continue the implementation of data-driven analysis and lessons from our Superintendent Conference Days is by continuously checking in with our staff to better help meet their needs. We feel these Professional Development Days will help us reach our goals.”
The 2023-2024 school year is scheduled to begin on Thursday, September 7. The year will come to a close on Tuesday, June 25. There are 185 pupil days on the calendar, with four school recesses scheduled for November, December, February, and April, respectively.
