In addition to launching hot air balloons from our elementary schools, the Adirondack Balloon Festival organizers launched an activity to spark elementary students’ imaginations and creativity. Students in grades 1-4 from 14 area schools were invited to create their own original artwork with hot air balloons as the theme.
We are pleased to share the exciting news that several students’ work was exhibited at the festival’s gala held at Hiland Park and at the Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport throughout the festival. Here are our KRS artists whose balloon art was selected. Special congratulations to the following students whose work was recognized in their respective school grade division.
